Caveau restaurant’s concept of unpretentious fine-dining has entrenched them as firm favourites on the Cape Town culinary scene. A daily-changing chalkboard menu, innovative wine list, relaxed atmosphere and attentive service have garnered their extensive acclaim. The extensive wine lists – 400 wines, with 70 available by the glass – are categorized according to moods and styles, not region or varietal, making them informative and practical. Open air seating is available in both restaurnats and the traditional menues has been expanded with the addition of a raw bar and full-time sushi chef.

Gould’s Special Note: One of my favourite spots is the coutyard of the Caveau in Heritage Square in the City Centre. A great atmosphere and highly popular with both the business and leisure clientele.
